more money more problems! help

it seems i have hit a wall in my project. :brickwall i want to hit the big 500bhp but i was told that the engine setup i have is wrong! not from my engine builder, but from this guy at Engine Advantages in Witham, Essex
i went to these guys because i couldn't get in at clive attowe in norwich in time for my trip to the ring. (which i never went becasue of the lovely t*ts at witham).

now i know i want get the power out of my current turbo, so i said that i have got plans to change the turbo just not right now as christmas brithdays and me wedding is round the corner. he then replied you'll be lucky! i was pi**ed  but i was reaching 350bhp on this turbo before i rebuilt the block and reacons that i wouldn't get that now??? wtf:wonder:

i have every bit of faith in the lads that built my engine and believe the money i have spent was well spent.

so guys im in need of your help with my current spec and planning of upgrading turbo will i reach my magic number? and who should i take it to to be mapped?

my spec:

2ltr ra block
ported and polished heads
lighted and balanced fly
wiseco pistons 92.5mm
eagle rods
nitrated cross drilled crank
acl race bearing
arp bolts
14mm head stud
1.3 metal head gasket
fmic
16 row oil cooler
walbro 255 fuel pump
fuel regulator
750cc injectors
apexi power fc
weak link TD05-20G
will be upgrading to MD321T
super drager turbo back 3"system

it seems that any money spent i have to spend more.
please help

To be honest 500bhp is a big jump from 350bhp and Engine advantages know what thier talking about, Paul is ex WRC. To get to that number you need to talk to ZEN but your talking serious money, its not all about engine but it does have to take the setup you need for that amount of power!! :wonder:

Really 2.5 block would be better, but people have done more on a 2L

Good luck :thumb:

ok maybe i wasn't to clear, i had 350bhp before the rebuild on me standard internals and injectors. but with walbro 255 fuel pump fmic 3"exhaust and apexi power fc.

with a much stronger engine upgraded fueling and larger turbo i should be reaching nearer to my target?

unfortunatly you have a few bits missing and some misunderstandings..

firstly an MD321T is a 450bhp turbo not a 500bhp.. 500bhp on a walbro fuel pump is not wise.. so will need upgrading when you go for the 500.. the walbro will be fine at 450.

what year is the car?

I see no reason for that spec not to be near to 400bhp with the right fuel 370ish on vpower on the 20g.. depending on year you might need another maf sensor.

only other thing of note being that eagle rods really are at their limit at 500bhp and I'd feel more comfortable with better..

What gearbox are you running? you will shred the standard one at 400 let alone 500.

Cheeky mode - I have a spare slot at Surrey Rolling Road and could therefore map it then

In my inexpert opinion, the block is ready for it, but without the right turbo you're not going to get even close to 500. It just can't be done with a 20G, and if that's what you were aiming for, no wonder you're disappointed.
