2 bolt vs 3 bolt uppipe

Ok basically I ordered a kakumei 3 bolt manifold and uppipe and was supplied a 2 bolt version (cheers flat4online)

What is the difference between them. I have read that the 2 bolt is prone to popping gaskets, is this true.

So could someone shed some light on this for me please.

Thanks
Jamie

less pressure on the flange as the pressure distribution is spread over three stress points as opposed to 2.

3= less likely to crack

when i first bought some headers years ago i didnt realy know much about them and got the 2 bolt ones.what a pain in the ass they where.atleast every 6-8 weeks i was putting a new gasket on until finaly i took them off and welded the uppipe to the headers, problem solved.i have just recently bought some 3 bolt ones but carnt comment on these as they have only done 600 miles so far.

3 bolt also has gasket issues too, i have replaced the gasket twice in a year now.
have now changed bolts to 12mm to try and eliminate any movement once it heats up. strange that they use a 10mm bolt when a 12mm one fits:wonder:
in saying that, 12mm is a damm tight fit.

will put the 12mm bolts in mine then when the RIGHT manifold arrives ;)
