sti head measurments, lobes, springs etc
 

after thread on thread of trying to find out wats in my v4 heads, iv bought the kit 2 measure them

i need the lobe measurments, spring etc, what ever i need 2 find out wa cams they r etc.

STi Version 3~4 valvetrain

Head codes - LH-B + RH-B
Head Gasket Type - MLS
Valve codes - EH + IH
Shim Type - Inner/under bucket.
Spring colour code - white
Spring free length - 56mm
Cam Lobe Lift - L4IN/R4IN - approx. 8.50mm
Cam Lobe Lift - L4EX/R4EX - approx. 8.60mm

WRX Version 3~4 valvetrain

Head Codes - LH-B + RH-B
Head Gasket type - Composite
Valve Codes - IDN + EDN
Shim Type - Outer/over bucket
Spring colour code - orange
Spring free length - 48.20mm
Cam Lobe Lift - L4IN/R4IN - approx. 8.40mm
Cam Lobe Lift - L4EX/R4EX - approx. 8.55mm


Please note that the above data is not from a workshop manual but from actual heads i have measured in the past.
The actual measurements you get will depend on mileage/wear of the components.

well i measured the lobes and springs

lobes are :-

lobe height 42.5 inlet

lobe height 42.6 ex

springs are : -

so in conclusion, sti v3/4 cams, wrx springs, and sti valves. wrx buckets with shims on top.
