1997 Sti Engine into a 1996 Wrx??

Anyone shed some light, asking for a friend who is looking at the engine for his car?

if you use the inlet manifold complete with injectors from the 96 then the only issue is the ecu map.. it will need mapping.. it will run but the wilder cams etc will possibly make it run lean..

yes but if he is paying out for an engine it is a fair increase in price.. he might be better getting a 93~96 engine..

The 97 sti 3 engine is a great upgrade but might break the bank sorting out mapping for it too etc..
