wind deflectors

hi all im having my type r painted at the min its got some wind deflectors on already but thinking about freshing them up with some new ones. Only thing is the cheapest i have found them is £160 at scoobyworld, anyone know where else they sell them? cheers

Get rid of them, looks much better without! Also, they can damage the paint when you remove them, so do it before the paint shop visit.

I changed mine when I the car as they were broken, Got them Relvoltion (you'll see their ad on here sometimes) but they were around the same price.

ive took them off already for it to be painted and quite liked them, but 3160 is a lot of money to pay for some deflectors

Subaru do them for half that price. Ask the nice man in the parts department for the old catalogues.

not sure if its the same, but for newage cars they are £75 from subaru, whereas people like Revolution do them for £150.

Yes that,s true, mine were removed and they,ve left a nice thin line..:brickwall :brickwall

I want to take mine off but I think I will have horrible scuff marks left behind. I am stuck with them for now.

jimy_k 04 January 2009 08:37 PM

:lol1: forgot to press the control button for the pound symbol. It is revolution that i found them for £160, but tbh that to me is rediculas. I will try subaru tomorrow see what they have to offer. They do leave a horrible line where the double sided tape is used, but they do look good i think, everyone to their own i suppose

If someone does speak to Subaru could you post up the part No. please. My local branch is next to useless but with a part No. might stand a chance. Driving around with just a passenger side one on at the moment.

mit 04 January 2009 09:19 PM

It also depends if you have a A pilar mounted arial or not, as there are two different part numbers.

jimy_k 04 January 2009 09:52 PM

mine has the a pillar mounted aerial, ill try tomorrow to see what the come up with

N_Scooby 05 January 2009 04:13 PM

Mine doesn't. It must be the other part number. Hadn't thought of that!!

Take them off +1. Horrible things.
