Servicing & Warranty

Hi there, i've recently purchased an Impreza WRX (wagon) on a 55 plate which has Subaru warranty (extended by previous owner)

Anyway the car is due a service, it was last serviced a year ago (5k miles) and is now on the 45k mark.

I was thinking of taking it to a specialist rather than a dealer to have this service done, however i'm unsure if this will invalidate the warranty?

I know the EU changed the rules on this a few years ago but i'm not sure?

Thanks

When we bought the wife's renault a couple of years back we asked the dealer this exact question. As long as we had receipts for service from VAT registered garages then they would honour any warranty claim.:thumb:

As long as the garage is VAT registered, follows the Subaru schedule and uses genuine parts, your warranty will remain valid. Where abouts in the country are you, I'm sure someone can recommend a nearby specialist
