Has anybody come across a specialist tool for removing a steering wheel? Like a puller? The bloody thing wont budge on the splines..

Could try liberally squirting WD40 down the splines and leaving it for an hour or so. Then perhaps try letting some light engine oil, 3-in-1, etc. run down the splines too. Then try removing it by using plenty of elbow grease, wiggling vigorously from side to side to try to agitate it off...

...Or, when you fully remove the castle nut, spin it back on a few threads so that the spline just pokes back through the rear edge of the nut. Then using a heavy, soft mallet (wrap it a tea towel if you wish), gently tap on the back of the wheel as near to the centre as possible. Repeat this, alternating either side of the wheel, gradually increasing the force as necessary until free. You'll probably find that when it does free, it'll fly right off... That's why the nut is there - stops the wheel flying off into your head.

I made one using a classic mini hub puller plate and drilling two extra holes... they are a bugger to get off!

Joz you rumbled me, lets keep it too ourselves and the other 94000 members on here though lol :)

Steering wheel is really on there, it's pain because its an aftermarkert momo one so difficult to get any sort of puller on it. I've WD40'd it nicely but really doesn't want to budge.

I'm sure i'll get it loose...
