Belkin Tunebase FM--HELP

Hi there, I bought my wife one of these for crimbo and for the love of me I can't get it to work! I have tried several times to tune it using the clearscan button and then tuning the radio to suit but to no avail. I then tried setting the radio on the top frequency and the manually setting the tunebase to match and then decreasing the band by 0.1 each time right down to 88.0 and still can't get it to work. It's driving me mad now !!
Am I doing someting wrong? Do I need to enable/disable something on the ipod?
(ipod nano-video, trying to work in a Jeep Cherokee 2002)

Thanks for your help guys and gals.

You need to turn the volume on the ipod to max,

and make sure the poxy ear protect setting has been removed on the ipod

place the transmitter as near to the radio / antenna as is possible then pick

a quiet frequency on the radio ( that is if you can find one ;))

then tune the transmitter to that frequency..

it should pick it up..

if not, try it on an indoor radio... if that dosent pick it up, its fubarred

Sorry to say but I brought one and it was total garbage, so brought one of these instead - IDS Limited - Product IPLUGRDS

Far superior to the fm broadcasters.
