Did the same in 1999/2000.

Came back from surfing in boardshorts to surfing in full Winter rubber in Feb in the UK - I nearly died!

Enjoy - I LOVE NZ!!

Sounds cool, but I would rather have xmas with all my family and friends around me in a cold dark blizzard in Blighty over xmas than be jeting off round the world.
Have a safe journey dude - and have a great time. If you go to Auckland, say hi to Helen for me :D I'll email her and tell her you're on your way :thumb:

Good one :thumb: Enjoy the sun over Christmas :thumb:
I can do one every Christmas holiday to warm India or Carribland, but I don't. My kids prefer Christmas in Great Britain. They don't want to miss out on the family feel and celebrations from their dad's side of big family. They say Christmas is for being all cozy and warm at home. I don't beg to differ either TBH.

It's not that warm there at the mo, even in Dorkland, 13c, ex-Helengrad is 15c. Either way you will enjoy it there...lived there for 9 years, Wellington.

And dont the rest of you get too jealous, remember, this is man who most of the year lives in "Scotland", he needs to see the sun at least once a year or he will look like the things from underground in "I Am Legend".
