This would be my assessment of the situation also. :)

G00ner 18 December 2008 02:02 AM

That TanyaTriangles really annoys me, it's so obviously Nacro in disguise!

MattW 18 December 2008 10:31 AM

No corner here 25 posts a page :D

davegtt 18 December 2008 10:32 AM

I'll admit to a couple of spare accounts for private use ;)

MattW 18 December 2008 10:37 AM

I created one as a study to see how Newbie's get treated, and also if I was a little nastier/honest/confrontational than I naturally am.

Just noticed your post count.

A rough in my head calculation means in order to achieve the post count you have. You have posted a rough average of 1 post per hour for 8.5 years.

You really do need to get out more!!!

Much as I suspected, there is an element of a "clique" for old timers, newbies need to become accepted.

Contentious and nasty comments are somewhat ignored.

lightning101 18 December 2008 12:13 PM

The clique thing always makes me laugh. Can you imagine if a strange bloke sat down at your table in the pub and started asking your mates which plasma TV to buy or "what should I buy my girfriend for her birthday", what would their natural reactions to the aforementioned person be ?

Be honest now :lol1:

I tried a similar experiment a while back but this time posted as a female.
I was getting hit on so many times that I completely forgot who I was and may have accepted some blind dates :Suspiciou

Contrary to thier beliefs, this doesn't afford them any extra protection from the rules.
