IIRC its works out as 1bhp for every number so 380bhp
|
380bhp on 380's? lol, no chance.
440's max out at about 350bhp so prob around the 300 mark |
a friend had 310-320 horses, but his IDC's were maxed out. (which isn't ideal)

See the first row of this chart: Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Knowledge / Estimated Horse Power from Injectors
These seem to be entirely reasonable figures, based on posts from JGM when he's mapped cars withe the 380s still fitted (as in my case, too). |
My 555 sti is running 300/300 on the original 380 injectors.
|
injectors
as above 303/325 on standard 380,s fueling fine, 95 wrx import
|
mickywrx is running about 330bhp on his 380`s although the dutys are maxed out
|
I have seen a Mcrae edition with mods churn out 340bhp on 380 injectors.
|
my 380's maxing badly at 330bhp-ideally should run them at no more than 85% duty cycle.
|
thanks troops!!
I thought about 300ish was right as id looked at andyforests tuning packs and for over 300 he changes the injectors for 550s. Would 440s off a late model classic or sti be a straight swap? I was on AFPs site eyeing up his uprated TD04 and noticed the injector swap mentioned. Not looking for as much power as possible but as much as is reliable............. same old story huh |
ginger, I take it your 1998 car is MY98 (Sep 97 - Aug 98) UK car, yes? Because if its MY99 (Sep 98 - Aug 99), then it'll already have 440s fitted! Similarly, if its a 1998 JDM car it'll have 440s fitted (unless its a non STi Wagon) - see here: Roojai Subaru Impreza
If it has got 380s as std, then as mentioned above, it'll be a UK MY98 car, with phase 1.5 injector rails. So you'd need 440s from a JDM MY97/98 car for a straight swap... or ones from a MY99/00 car but will have to use adaptors - see here: Carl Davey, specialist Subaru Impreza parts supply |
