classic sti rear subframe

is it all one peice with the diff mounts and ect all attached

i seen a diff mount bush replacement thread somewhere and it showed it on a plate bolted to the subframe,,,,, my diff mounts are actially part of the subframe,,,,, and the diff mounted to it direct

anyone else give me some help and info on this ?

I would say your correct. I remember having to swap my subframe over because the sti version had the bushes built into the subframe and the diff bolted to it direct. Where as the wrx subframe has a separate bracket/bush arrangment. I was going to leave the wrx subframe in place but the 2 threaded bolts on the diff would not budge. There bolt lengths are different from sti to wrx.

that was another fear,,,,, i was expecting " all sti's there seperate,,,, its the sprts that are built into it" type reply

Just make sure you line up the subframe when you put it back. Dont cross thread the bolts because if one of the inner threaded nuts come away from the body your bolt will spin freely (fcuk)

I had this on 1 of the 3 bolted trailer arm bracket, luckly I managed to get to the welded nut from the other side by drilling a small hole in the back base seat of the body.
Sometimes it better to hand torque the bolts half way instead of a few threads then using the impact gun.
