Well having received a bearable price for my MY 99 I decided that a Puma or mini Cooper would be suitable for me next. Overall the mini was the better package but there was something about the Puma that felt just about right that I could not get away from.
I'll certainly miss the power and speed although that was certainly a double edged sword as my MY99 felts a bit boring at normal road speed but certainly came together when pressing on. I know that general advice is not to buy a discontinued modle bu I'm looking forward to Saturday when I pick up my Puma. Brendan |
Good luck with it mate ;)
As my Scoob is still being repaired, I get to drive the Missus' Puma (when I'm allowed ;)). I sold it to her before getting the Scoob. Still think it's a top motor on the twisties, and you can get > 40 mpg :D Personally, I don't think there will be a problem buying one as an end of line model. It's had nothing but good write ups so will always be sought after. |
