Fuel consumption?
 

Im not sure if this is normal of a Impreza turbo as this is the first one that i have had, im putting £20 worth of Shell V-power in my 95 Wagon WRX and i get about 70miles? that to me is alot! Mods are full 3" exhaust and induction kit and a chip (unsure of make etc of chip) and running approx 15psi. What are other people getting out of there scoob? as im unsure if this is normal or i need to be looking at a problem.

Sounds normal to me... When I'm not taking it easy, I get about 80 miles out of 20 quid (2003 model).

forgot to say thats with mostly gentle driving and the odd blast, oh dear :lol1: suppose you cant have power without a comprimise somewhere

uk turbo 2000 99 model with a remap etc,im getting more than that,but admitadly if i was booting it alot i can eat £20s too.expensive but well worth it,u have to learn to use your fuel more wisely.sounds to me like you have a rather heavy right foot.:lol1:

I've got a 1993 WRX saloon with 3" decat/system, Green, PFR7Bs, Walbro and a PFC running 1.15bar, and I get about 90-100 miles on 20 litres of V-Power - which is about £20 at the mo down my way (I also have a 4-month old from brand new, genuine OEM-spec Lambda sensor :norty:)...

...BUT this is only commuting to and from work in the urban crawl (not really getting over 50mph) and hardly ever using any boost (maybe the odd foray here and there though :D).

If I were to hoon a lot more, I'm sure the consumption would drop to a similar amount, though - so yes ADON, it's your right foot that's to blame :lol1:. Or if you're adamant that it's not, then I'd test your Lambda sensor is working correctly...

I stay and work in the same town and I only get 50miles with 20 quid but I'm never in 5th gear.

Still lasts me a week though

:lol1: must be this right foot of mine! im going to take it steady for a few days and see what happens, must admit im using it to and from work which is a steady drive and have been diving steady and found no real difference it mileage. Might even take the chip off and run off the std one to see if thats the cause (as the chip is unknown and not a polar chip) and will test lambda. Thanks peeps for your help and suggestions, oh when testing lambda what values should i be looking for? or just making sure it fluctuates and doesnt stick? Also i havent got one in the down pipe, on these is it just on the manifold?

Also worth checking your tyre pressures.

My work hack returns about 50 miles per tank more now that i've got the correct tyre pressures :)

yep all checked and correct, i do usally try and do them weekly :thumb:
