Future Vehicle Tax Rates - Is it just me that finds this wrong?
 

The govt's own tax calculator:

For checking vehicle tax rates only shows current rate whereas the new bands are in force as of next year and in some cases are are lot more.

As far as I can see there is no obvious link on that site to tell your average joe about the graduated bands coming in from 2009. IMHO its downright misinformation :(

HMG wouldn't want to misinform because the whole point of increasing VED is to discourage the purchase of 'high' polluting vehicles :confused:

Or is it just to extract more cash
