The government's chief scientific adviser has called for a complete ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel powered cars.Professor David King has said that Britain should follow the example of Lombardy,a heavy industrial region in northern Italy, which is to ban the sale of fossil fuel powered car's from January 2005.
Are we about to see a massive change in the way we run and buy our car's?
Will our day's of extreme motoring enjoyment be about to be stopped?
I feel the day's of un-green motoring are slowly coming to an end.
Let's make the most of it while we can as our children may not get to experience that scooby feeling.
Cheers Paul.

I doubt 2005 as there is no viable alternative and the revenue from petrol, car tax, insurance tax. Best is hybrid cars but even they have a fossil fueled engine. He may call for it but I doubt anyone will listen.

Perhaps the Chief Scientific adviser has been sniffing some alternative herbal medicine ;)

I'd like him to explain how anyone outside the city of London is going to realistically carry on without a car.

He is probably doing more than just sniffing altrnative drug's!
Problem is these people are very dangerous as government's around the world try to appease the green lobby.
Cheers Paul.

He can protest all he likes, the ponce. there are enough people out there who agree with us to convince even the most hardened politician to stop his insincere and highly public tree-hugging.

Well if it is only the sale of new motors that he wants to stop then i'll just have to keep the old one!!
The problem here is that he's not even a politician so we could'nt not vote for him in the next election. I don't think that to many politicians will be standing behind him though when it comes to votes, not publicly anyway..

I bet he's never even been in a scoob,pr*ck
