This is a odd problem. When I would let off the gas pedal from a speed of, say, over 25 miles a hour. The front wheels would lock up, yes I mean lock up, come to a screeching halt. Once stoped the engine is still running and you can press the gas and go. That is until you let off the gas pedal. Now if you ease off the throttle and use your brake and keep power to the engine the problem does not seem to happen. Any Ideas or anyone heard of this?

is it auto or manual
|
It is a 4wd automatic trans

could be the belts or one of the clutches. it's not an evct transmission is it i.e you cant feel the upshifts because some justys have these and at low speed it just drops it in to first gear and like throws you through the windscreen cos if it is then it's a new gearbox time. as something cracks not sure what but it has to binned

Not a evct trans. but the problem has gotten worse.
The front wheels are locked up now, as in won't move. Looks like I need a tow truck to get the sucker home. What a mess, had to move the car out of the middle of the street with a big floor jack. Just took it to the car wash to wash the engine compartment and trans area to work on it. |
Found a trans in the local scrap yard but the unit is a turbo version. Why won't it fit into my non-turbo car?
