Outer CV joint,is it easy to do ???
 

I need to replace the outer CV joint on the drivers side front axle but have never done one before.Is it fairly straight forward or does it require specialist tools ??:wonder:
It looks quite easy but looks can be deceiving !!
What sort of price should I be looking at for a replacement part,its for my 02 sti type uk ??
Any pointers/help will be greatly appreciated :confused:

easy enough to do mate done mine few weeks ago,the cv joint itself is expensive new. give api or xspec a bell they will sell u a complete driveshaft with inner/outer cv so no messing about for 80-90 quid

Sounds good,would they want my shaft in return ???

no mate, its just a second hand unit which they check before they sell them.

Looks like i'll be giving them a shout !
