Time to say goodbye to the scoob

As you most of you know i've had the RA up for sale for a while and well, i've sold it at long last. It's gone to a lad from southend so will obviously point him in the direction of the club.

I'll be checking in from time to time as Dad still has his wagon and i've got the monthly golfing bug. Still resisting the big kites for now :p . But seeing as i won't have to spend fortunes keeping a scoob on the road it may allow me a few spare £ to spend on other interests as well as the new ride :norty: .

Speaking of the new ride i've partly taken a leaf out of of Supercue's, Mark B4's and Cornelius' books. It's rwd and becoming quite retro in a standard form. Plus some nice German build quality.

Oh that's great news Matt.

Keep in touch, you have my number mate.

V4JDMSTi 28 November 2008 12:31 PM

yup. 325i with fast road cam, induction kit (soon to be changed a bit. Thinking of taking out one of the head lights to set up as a cold air feed if i can), stainless system and a set of alpinas. Full silver leather. Needs a bit of matty 2 clear buckets treatment but should be able to bring it up ok. Got a few idea for it. mainly ones that won't cost an arm and a leg. just something to put my stamp on it.

kevdsti 28 November 2008 02:31 PM

Gaz shocks do some nice shocks for the four corners ,they work well on the E30 race cars

V4JDMSTi 28 November 2008 02:31 PM

:p been a bmw driver before. i'm afraid i break the mold as i give way and don't drive round with my fog lights on :lol1:

yeah will still pop along to the lodge and will be on here, just not as much.

another quick pic. it's also been fully resprayed in an m3 evo colour. not sure what it's called now but i quite like it.

was going to give you a shout about that ;)

Good news that it is finally sold mate.

E30 is by far my favourite BM... Especially lowered with some Azev A wheels :norty:.

You still going to be on the old email to provide advice and detailing services?

rossi_p 28 November 2008 02:45 PM

The Alpina wheels look good too!!

Nice one! :D

Diesel_DC 28 November 2008 02:59 PM

Good luck with the Beemer Matt, just make sure you get them indicators on it wired back up :lol1:

SirFozzalot 28 November 2008 03:25 PM

Old skool.....I like it! :king:

V4JDMSTi 28 November 2008 03:35 PM

ross - already been thinking about a set of azevs for when i need some new tyres. i could keep the alpinas as a winter set.

dave - checked them and they work. last owner must have sorted it ready for selling it :lol1:

Fozzy - yup fancied a bit of old skool cool. can't afford the time on money on a mk1 or 2 escort so went for what i thought was the next best thing. In theory should have about 180 - 190 bhp before i get the chip put in :D

MadOli 28 November 2008 08:31 PM

Well done Matt.
You're right RWD still provides plenty of fun especially in the wet :norty:
E30 series do still look cool enjoy :top:

Tiny 28 November 2008 08:34 PM

V4JDMSTi 01 December 2008 12:26 PM

lol. was a beanie hat rather than a burberry cap lol. never really been one for going down the front. well only 1 saturday a month every now and then wander what that was for :wonder :lol1: yup look so much better with the roof down. was looking on ebay to get a hard top for it for winter. go for about £800 though so won't be bothering with that!

PHAT C 01 December 2008 06:06 PM

i so love these beamers you got me thinking now :norty:

Cornelius 01 December 2008 06:44 PM

That does look a cracking car mate.

You're not wrong about Mk2 escorts, £1200 is about average for a bog standard 1.3 4 door, £6000 for an RS2000 and around £2500+ for a 2 door!
