Malfunction Indicator Light
 

Bugeye 2002 high milage
hello this light has just come on. The manual mentions something about emissions but i do not quite understand the purpose. It has never appeared before. The car is very low on fuel (id say around 10miles left) before the light came on. Any ideas? Will i be able to drive to work and back tmrw?

yes thats the one. Anyways i have filled it up with petrol and now the light has gone off. Any thoughts?

Check engine light, or CEL, as its mostly referred to on here is a general fault log. It could be for anything. If its gone out, your OK, its when it stays on, there is a bit more of an issue.

There's about 2000 different reasons that the MIL light could come on - some more serious than others. You need someone to run a scan on your car.
