Rescue Pedigree cats looking for new homes.

This weekend we collected 6 cats looking for new homes (marriage break-up). They are Korats, Thai Lilacs and a Turkish-Van, all neutered and micro -chipped, male and female, youngsters to older cats.

My wife has been involved with cats for an awful long time and is well known within the cat fancy, hence the call to us for help.

There is no charge for them and I could deliver or meet halfway. We are centrally located in Rutland.

If you would like further details then feel free to pm me.

Thanks

JBL

I'll ask my housemate - she was on about getting a cat a while ago. But I will get in touch tomorrow if it's a goer.

Is the nature of these ones ok around kids?

If I still lived in Oakham, we would certainly have been interested. Good luck with finding good homes for them.

JBL,

Good to talk to you last night.

After discussions with my wife we think it would be better to hold out for a rescue kitten so that it can grow up alongside our daughter.

Good luck in the re homing and good luck with the sterling work you are doing

Doc.

Thanks for all the interest and contacts. No problem Doc, good luck in the search. Cheers Leslie.

If you could pass the word around friends /work etc we would be most grateful.

Thanks

I've already got two Cats, I don't think the poor dog could cope if another one came in the house :D

I'll ask about at work tomorrow :)

An up-date to the rescue situation.
First a big thank -you to all who contacted us regarding the cats, either by 'phone or e-mail, also the messages of support and good luck.

All the Korats and Thai-lilac have now found new homes.

We are still looking for a home for the 3yr old Turkish-Van. I know that it is a neutered female but she will need a visit to the vets to have her teeth cleaned. She has been with us a week and is still rather shy and my wife thinks a non-child home might suit best.

Cheers and thanks again

I would have her like a shot, but ours is an antisocial old lady who detests not only strangers, but any others of the feline or canine kind, and we can't risk upsetting her.
