Off to spend a weekend in Wapping and was wondering if any of you can recommend any good bars/restaurants within walking distance of Wapping itself?

A weekend in Wapping ?

I can recommend the transport system, many options to go to many more places of far greater interest.

Nearest I can suggest is the shopping centre and eateries in Canary Wharf. Other than that, the city is rather boring at the weekend, head into town (West End)

I know it is hardly Monaco, but it is my fiancee's sister's new flat, she has just moved to Wapping and invited us there for the weekend.

I am all for it, as we can head into town shopping in the daytime, etc, but just wondered if any good places nearby for eating out, drinking, etc.

Canary wharf or St Catherines dock/Tower Hill is your best best
