Where's the usual Top Gear's crap/great thread?

Was crap again:lol1: .

Re-hashed theme of getting somewhere on a tank of fuel.

Wasn't this done a couple of years back in a V8 Audi? Yes, it was.

Rubbish;)

I like Harry Enfield, though.

Lisawrx 23 November 2008 10:56 PM

I thought it was quite funny in parts, but then I'm easily pleased. :o :D

phil_wrx 23 November 2008 11:04 PM

its entertainment

GC8 23 November 2008 11:05 PM

I was surprised to hear Joy Division in the background...

corradoboy 23 November 2008 11:05 PM

I half watched it as I was also w*rking (for a change) and it seemed average. Yes, a revisited idea but from a different (but again revisited) angle. Again, only one car reviewed and at a price less than 1% of the world could afford, but automotive porn is always nice to see. Shame they can't also fit in something realistic reviewed in an entertaining way too :( Veyron lap was no real surprise as it's too heavy and cumbersome for their track. Put them both 'round Silverstone or Monza and I bet there'd be a different result. I'll watch it properly when iPlayer get their act together if I've time and see if it's any better when I can concentrate on it. I'm gonna watch The Dark Knight until then :D

Wasn't it New Order - Ceremony ?

The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary was there though

GC8 23 November 2008 11:08 PM

Do you know, I cant remember. It was whilst JC was driving the Jaguar in the diesel > Blackpool challenge.....

Jamz3k 23 November 2008 11:08 PM

i would usually defend TopGear to the hilt but i have really noticed how crap its getting lately. Only good thing about it is James May! Jeremy Clarkson acts like a very bad Jeremy Clarkson impersonator these days.

Matilda finished at about 7.

You didn't drink too much wine and drop off in your rocking chair did you?

Ceremony was a Joy Division song, written by Ian Curtis, as well as being New Orders first single. I cant say yes or no though, as I wasnt really paying attention.

I didn't think it was the best episode but it still entertained for an hour, which is what I was looking for :)

SPEN555 23 November 2008 11:24 PM

Anyone notice the damage on the Bugatti Veyron when stig was doing the hot lap. The damage was to the O/S sill section

The Dogs B******s 24 November 2008 07:49 AM

Enjoyed it as usual.

hodgy0_2 24 November 2008 08:33 AM

didnt anyone notice that V naughty looking brunette standing behind Hammond -- when I was sitting on the sofa

billythekid 24 November 2008 09:14 AM

Apparently, so I have been told, that the Veyron on the show was taken away by Bailiffs :Suspiciou

Gear Head 24 November 2008 09:28 AM

Thought it is really good last night. We had some friends over last night who never watch the show and they were in stitches.

For all those TG haters, just accept that the show isn't about reviewing ordinary cars. That's why it's called 'TOP-GEAR'! :thumb:

And if it had stayed in the same format as pre-2002, it wouldn't be on at all.

If you don't like it, don't watch it!

Matteeboy 24 November 2008 09:31 AM

I liked it - the Veyron and Zonda sounded awesome!

Bet Jag will sell a few more cars off the back of that test.

Scoobychick 24 November 2008 09:31 AM

I was looking at the audience to try and spot some nice blokes for us wimmins here, so that I could post them up this morning. Unfortunately there weren't any  :D

yes

Hoppy 24 November 2008 10:26 AM

Didn't notice the brunette, but spotted Clarkson's big new watch. How sad is that?! Was it Harry Enfield, or one of the Old Gits :lol1:

pwhittle 24 November 2008 10:31 AM

I was hoping May would get nicked for driving with his mirrors folded in. A biker really should know better than that.
