Exhaust gasket question
I recently purchased a 2nd hand Blitz NUR Spec exhaust for my classic.
My question is do I need a gasket to join the centre pipe to the backbox? As I only have a 2.5" gasket and the pipework is 80mm/ 3". Can I use this gasket or can someone point me in the direction of an 80mm gasket? Many thanks Andy |

Asked this of my local exhaust fitter on replacing both my back boxes. There wasn't a gasket fitted on either car. "Normal" he said as he handed me some white gunge in a tube to squirt around the joining face before fitting the Prodrive backboxes.
Neither was leaking before, nor have they leaked since. Begs the question if gasket is money well spent? :wonder: |
