AGV - Wont update

My Home PC and Laptop cant connect to the AGV server for an update.

Anyone else having the same problems ?

That could well be a virus preventing it.

Start your PC in safe mode+networking. Then update. Then run a full scan. Then reboot in normal mode.

Are you using Google Chrome? I can't get AVG updates on it, but am OK with IE8 or Firefox.

Oh the irony.

Do yourself a favour and install Nod32 instead...

Is it the latest version of AVG, eg; 2008 version? If it's not then that could be the issue. I had the previous version installed and it would not connect to the Update Center. Basically it's pushing you to install the latest version, and after doing so there wasn't an issue with updating.

Yes its 2008 and Im running a PC but using Safari

Its also the free version. Is Nod32 free ?? And is it any good ?

Thanks all for your help so far :notworthy

There's a problem with AVGs CTF file. Go here :

AVG Antivirus and Security Software - Support overview

Click on the AVG Update Issue section. You will then be able to download an .exe file which fixes it.
