My Panasonic HD camcorder was bought from there. About £165 cheaper then the high street stores.

What about Costco's?

Your local branch of Jessops will match any advertised price which makes it so much easier should you have any problems at a later date and need local support.

When I take my busines to a company like Jessops/Currys/Comet , I always expect them to beat a price, if they can't beat and will only match I will take my custom to the company that is advertising the price they will match.

Smaller companies which you will get a more personal service with on the other hand, I don't expect a price to be beaten or even matched.

I normally get my electrical stuff from John Lewis

1) Good service with sales people who know what they're talking about
2) Good reputation
3) Will price match any advertised price.

Otherwise, have a walk up and down Tottenham Court Road and play one shop off against the other. You'll always come away with a good deal :)

Just don't buy a hard drive one if you intend using it in the car, as the vibrations can cause them to fail and cause recording errors.
