USB 35mm negative and slide scanner
Has anybody any experience on using one of these are they any good?Which is the best one to get?How much should I pay?. Thanks .

Yes
Yes Epson or Canon As much as you can afford. Slides will never be great off a flatbed but if it's not for high spec work, will be fine. Take your pick from this lot and you wont go far wrong Canon Photo, Film and Document Scanner Scanners - Canon UK |
Thanks.I thought that you had to have one of those "special"scanners just for photos,so a normal flatbed will do?.

I think you need an adaptor for a normal flatbed scanner... or one that has provision built in for scanning with another light behind the film / negs.

are these type any good? USB Negative Scanner
|
No.
These are good film scanners: dabs.com - Nikon LS5000 35mm Film Scanner (5000NSUK) dabs.com - Nikon LS-9000 Multi Format Film Scanner (9000NSUK) If you've got less than 500, you're better off getting someone to do it for you, it's not a quick process. All those in the canon link above can do film/neg and will give adequate results, good results require more money/time but they are fine. |
If you require higher quality or for commercial use, this is not the one for you. |
