Two different postcodes for my address
 

I seem to have two different postcodes under my address which is causing me problems.

I want Sky Broadband which I can't have at the moment as they are saying BT has me under a different postcode to them. I've asked numerous times for BT to change it but when sky contacts them they come back saying its still wrong :(

I've never really paid attention before but there are conflicts with my postcode with other companies too, such as my electricity supplier.

I only know one postcode which I always give out.

How do I find out which is my correct postcode :wonder:

I've had this problem, it's a friggin nightmare.
Best thing is to see what the Royal Mail have as your official postcode I think (not that I have much faith in them) and then give that to all the companies that you use. If some of them say that they can't change it then I suppose you could invoke the data protection act to a degree as the information they would hold would be incorrect, not sure on that one though.
I'm sure there's more that can be done but I never had an end to the issues with my postcode at the time. I was renting though so it wasn't the end of the world. I can imagine it would be a pain for a place you have bought though. :(

The PO changed my post code a few years back, still get the odd bit of mail delivered on the old one though!

Thats a worry, I pop in my address and it comes up they can't find me :confused:
