I have lost my dog.
Im gutted, absolutely gutted.
I have only had her a year or so. She was abused and neglected, then abandoned by her previous owner, eventually living rough alone for over a year before I found her. I went back with some food and she followed me home. Since that day, she has rarely let me out of her sight, and whenever I have left her, she sits at the end of the drive, no matter what the weather, waiting for my return. She is pregnant and her puppies are due any time now. I can only assume she has run off to hide and have her puppies alone somewhere, but that has now been since thursday since I last saw her. Its so out of character that I cant help but assume something has happened to her. http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...0022Medium.jpg http://i217.photobucket.com/albums/c...0035Medium.jpg :( |
Aww, keep looking mate, hope she turns up.
|
Ahhh bless, lets hope she turns up soon bearing you little ones :thumb:
|
Chin up mate have you looked in any of the local allotment sheds etc... ?
|
She's beautiful, good luck finding her.
|
:( ... good luck ,Dude..
|
Sorry to here that, fella :( .
Hope you find her soon. T |
Good luck mate, im sure she will just turn up as if she has been out for a stroll. Contct the local dogs home and the RSPCA just incase she has already been found, you have probably already done that anyway.
|
Oh God, I hope she turns up safe and sound, with puppies in tow :( :(
|
Is there any outhouses of barns she can get into nearby ? SHe may have just gone off somewhere war and quiet to have the pups...
I hope you find her soon:( |
If shes lived rough before she'll be fine-shes gone nesting to have the pups somewhere alone thats she's probably familiar with.
All the same I'd be tempted to both check out the local doggy places and also start leaving food outside in case she eturns for a night time feed. Try to be like Mick dundee as he pops over the wall to rescue the fit bird (name escapes me atm) "its the only way i can see it" Good luck in finding her fit healthty with a brood in tow richie |
Not quite the same I know but i had a ferret who did exactly the same untill she walked back in my neighbours open patio doors and climbed up on his lap.
as above good luck richie Oh yea said neighbour was terrified by ferrets |
gutted for you mate, keep looking and if you have pet insurance check to see if you have cover to help search for her :)
|
Good luck with looking for your dog, David. Wishing for her to be back in good health.
|

Hope she comes back safe and sound with the pups, my thoughts are with you fella!

Yeah, Im in France, so there is no RSPCA. There is a French equivelant but i am at least 100km from their nearest branch.
Unfortunately, the region I live in is inhabited by asshole farmers and hunters who have very little regard for animals, (hence her original abandonment) so the chances of her being taken in are very slim indeed. There are a few outbuildings on my land but she isnt in any of them. I have toured the nearby woods but there are a million and one places to hide in there. She is very timid and would not go near other peoples property, especially if they have dogs themselves, as all my neighbours do. I have left food outside where she can get it, an have made a nestbox and put her blankets in it in the shed she likes to sleep in during summertime. Just have to wait now. |
I'm hoping your lovely dog turns up safe and well.
It does sound like she has gone into "nesting mode" with the iminent arrival of her puppies. Best of luck. |
Good luck David. Really hope you find her. She's a beautiful dog. Keeping fingers crossed for you.
|
Sorry to read this. But she sounds a streetwise mutt and if she has just had a litter I'd have thought she would stay with them for several days before venturing back?
Fingers crossed. d |
Good luck finding her david.
chop :) |
:( Sorry to hear this. Hope she turns up OK :)
|
Hope she turns up safely, Im sure she will find somewhere safe when shes looking for food again. My fingers are crossed this end.

Terrible to hear mate, best of luck with finding her :(
|
If she's gone off to have her puppies somewhere safe and quiet then she will need to stay with them until they can see. I think this period varies quite a lot in dogs but I'm not sure. Hopefully once they can see and walk OK she'll come back to you with her new family :)
|
Really sorry to hear about that, I hope she will soon turn up again. It may be a natural thing for her to find a place to have the puppies.
Les |
Really sorry to hear that mate .. keeps us informed
|
Fingers crossed she turns up sometime soon.
