is it important to have 3 port boost solenoid and an uprated fuel pressure regulator when trying to tune uk my99 wagon to about 300bhp using vf35?if so what exactly is the purpose of this?what do they do?

The 3 port will allow you to run more boost and better control than a 2 port
and the reg will allow you to get more from your injectors(up fuel pressure) to go with running more boost!! if you dont already have one you will need an uprated fuel pump!!

yeah i know about the pump, but are the other two essential? im only after 300bhp or slightly less!

i would say yes to the 3 port for the reason they are better and no to the reg then as the standard reg and 440 injectors your car has are good to around 320bhp

my car is mapped using ecu tek and they have used a manual valve to control boost as there was a fault with my standard solenoid, would a normal(locked off valve) running 1.2 bar do the same job?obviously u can adjust boost and then lock to that position!
