uprated my front brakes to 4 pots but when i brake theres a loud click from them anyone know how to stop this please it's driving me:mad:

I can only assume that you have fitted the brake pads without any of the anti rattle shims.

There should be a small metal shim fitted to top edge of each pad to take up the gap between the pad & the caliper, this stops the pad rising in the caliper when you touch the brake pedal.

There should also be a large metal "s" shape spring pad which fits between the top & bottom pad retaining pins. This pushes the pads home into the caliper in the direction of the hub to stop them rattling about.

ok cheers for that :thumb: can i buy these seperately or do they come with pads:wonder: i didnt fit them myself someone did them for me sorry for all the questions but i'm not mechanically minded:o

Sorry for the late reply,

The small shims inbetween the top of the pad & the caliper do come with STD Subaru pads, but can be brought seperatley for £3.20 each.

The large "S" shape retainer is not part of a pad kit & iff missing they will cost you £19.25 each
