Do I need an uprated fuel pump.

Am looking at getting my 03WRX remapped with a prodrive down-pipe and STI decat up-pipe. Its currently got a downpipe back afterburner vortex and green cotton panel filter. Was wondering if the standard fuel pump would cope with the extra demand once remapped?

TIA
Andy.

yep, only when you change the turbo will you need a pump.

although considering there not ery expensive might be worth it for any future plans

Cheers Tidgy. Modding on a budget at the moment so would be good if i could do without buying the pump as yet. I think they go for about £70 on Ebay (Walbro 255) but its £70 that can stay in my pocket for the mean time.

Thanks
Andy.

check with the mapper to make sure (they will know whats best for it) but the standard pump should be ok for the standard turbo

What remap are you going for? Thats pretty much the plans we have, just wondered what map and how much (cost) and bhp you expected?

i have been estimated 275bhp with a nice torque curve with decat 2.5" exhaust and decat up-pipe, green panel filter and uprated fuel pump
