whyning on start up
 
does it evry year in the cold mornings only for about 4 mins then it stops think its coming from the alternater:wonder:

Yeah sounds like the alternator belt is a tad too tight and the cold weather is prob compounding it (belt contracted). Try slackening the belt.

Don't know how tight it should be on Scoobs but the general rule is with the thumb pressing against the centre of the belt's longest 3 runs, there should be about half an inch of deflection.

Do it sooner rather than later as, if it IS too tight, it can knacker the alternator's bearings.

When you get it done, then when you go on your next journey, check your battery light doesn't flicker on and off, or come come on constantly. If it does, then re-tighten the belt as necessary...
