Do Newage Impreza's run a restricter pill ?

Installing a 2nd hand TD05 20 g at the moment onto my 2005 WRX the turbo came without the turbo vacuum pipes.

Like an idiot i sold my old turbo with the vaccum pipe's still attached. so i am going to make some up.

I had a look at my friends 2003 WRX and couldn't feel a restricter pill in the vaccum pipe that come's from the compressor housing on the turbo upto the t piece.

Do i need to fit one ?

If you're running a 2 port BCS then yes, you do need the pill.

You need to discuss that with your mapper, the size of restrictor orifice will depend on the boost range you will be using, he should have a selection of suitable sizes with 1.0/1.1/1.2mm covering most applications.

Your mapper should be able to sort it and should hold a selection.

I Mapped a STi 2002 with a 20G a week or so ago.
The guy's that fitted the turbo through the old pipes out...DOH!

So I fitted my normal 1.0mm and it mentally overboosted.
Then fitted an old pill from a WRX, which I think is 1.2mm and managed to get it nicley under control on the 2-port.
