phone number tracing

mornin all. strange non-subaru question here. i was at work late last night when my mobile rang in my pocket. i heard it but because i was busy i didnt answer or even see who it was. a couple minutes later the same thing again. a few minutes after that, i was able to stop what i was doing and see who the missed calls were from. it was a land line number i dont know. ive phoned it a few times since but it just rings and rings.

i hate this sort of thing. ive done a google check on the dialling code, and it has returned it as Farnham Common. i know no-one in this area.

the number is 01753 518 402

can anyone somehow find an address for this please. im having no luck

dan

Just forget about it & move on. Why worry as it's clearly a number you don't recognize?

TX.

Edit - Boro, just noticed that I'm a senior & you're a regular despite posting 20 times less than me & being a member longer :wonder: :smug:

Have you got anything for sale as might be someone wanting to buy something ?

billythekid 19 October 2008 01:20 PM

Wrong numbers will almost always ring twice, before they figure out its the wrong number.

cossie-nutter 19 October 2008 01:29 PM

It could also be 1 of them scams where you get a missed call twice so you call it back and it "sounds" like it is ringing but infact its a £3 a min hot line with a answer phone with a ringing tone on! Got caught out be 1 of these last year! £15 bill we had for that!

My girlfriend/wife heard it but because i'm bonning some other bird i didnt answer in case I got caught out. a couple minutes later the she rang again. a few minutes after that, i was able to check it without my missus seeing and think up a cover story. So here I am pretending it was a land line number i dont know. ive phoned it a few times since but it just rings and rings.

The girls number is 01753 518 402

can anyone somehow find an address for this please. im having no luck in trying to pull the wool over my missus eyes and pretend I don't know who it is.

Please play along with the thread so it all looks genuine. Thanks.

HAHAHAHA

TonyBurns 19 October 2008 07:55 PM

Comes up as a windsor number, farnham common has 2 STD's allocated to it and its not quite in the same direction (classed as slough)
Chances are it is a phone box, no real way of telling unless you ring the operator.

Tony:)
