How many times have you been in love?

As the title. How many times have you truly loved someone? Not to be confused with lust: I'm talking about the ones that get under your skin and stay there. :)

Bit of a change to my usual p*sstake muppet room threads, but looking forward to the replies...

dpb 18 October 2008 11:14 PM

at least once a week since i was 18 ..:Suspiciou

GlesgaKiss 18 October 2008 11:22 PM

:D Same here. Serious question though. Once for me. :brickwall

dpb 18 October 2008 11:25 PM

ok ,at least once a month since i turned 40 :D

GlesgaKiss 18 October 2008 11:26 PM

:lol1: At least it still works.

Lee247 18 October 2008 11:37 PM

mmm, that's a toughie.

Why can't we have "in lust", spoilsport :lol1:

HankScorpio 18 October 2008 11:43 PM

mmm... one proper and one that in hindsight wasn't even close when compared to the proper. Turns out you do have to be careful what you wish for. Psycho bitch.

Not bitter, honest :D

GlesgaKiss 18 October 2008 11:46 PM

Lust and love are two different things IMO. :p

There are plenty of psychos about, Hank!

Dedrater 18 October 2008 11:50 PM

Did anyone watch Neighbours years ago when Holly Valance first came on the scene? Well i did every night and can honestly say i fell in love with her, i never really watched the show before she was on it and have never watched it since, she is the apple of my eye:norty:

Tam the bam 19 October 2008 12:17 AM

I don't think I've actually ever been in love with anyone, I only ever like girls who turn out to be complete and utter psychos!! Does that count?? :D

PMSL. This thread hasn't got the replies I was hoping for. Maybe it was my mistake for posting on a Saturday night when everyone's p*ssed up. :lol1:

I put my sim card in an old phone today, and it took me back. Had months of txts from my ex girlfriend on it, and it made me feel exactly the way I felt when we went out seperate ways - terrible! :(

oops, :lol1: I have no excuse as am on antibiotics so not drinking.

I can honestly say, there is not one person I have met, YET, who has caused a big spark. I've loved, obviously as I have a partner and two cracking kids. But no spark

You must have had some spark surely, if you have two kids with your partner? Maybe it's just not there anymore?

I'm 21, and I can honestly say I still think about the girl I loved every day. Was with her properly when I was 19, but we have been on and off since then.

Back then I had just left college and had been working for a year with a joiner. She was the only thing that kept me going :) : as I thought my life was going no where at that point.

You're going back to 'lust' again. :lol1:

Dedrater 19 October 2008 12:46 AM

I dont think love is how you see it on the big screen though, otherwise girls wouldn't be *******s..

ScoobyWon't 19 October 2008 01:15 AM

I think this thread may be just bait :Suspiciou Not to catch me out, may I add :p

There's only one girl I've ever loved. And here's a brief synopsis:

I met a girl, she was a frog princess
and yes I do regret it now
But how was I to know that just one kiss
could turn my frog into a cow?

And now I'm rid of her I must confess
to thinking 'bout what might have been
And I can visualize my frog princess
beneath a shining guillotine

I'm sticking by these wise words of wisdom:

It's just the price I pay for being a man (if that's really what I am)

I expect I'll still be single when I turn 28 in two weeks ;)

SiPie 19 October 2008 04:29 AM

28 times

approx

Jamie 19 October 2008 08:37 AM

Four times!

ilogikal1 19 October 2008 09:53 AM

There's no such thing as love, it's nothing more than a marketing tool developed by Hallmark and Disney in a vein attempt to sell more copies of Bambi

jods 19 October 2008 11:09 AM

When I was in my teens up to my mid 20's I was in "Love" with every girl I met that that didn't look like Bella Emberg who laughed at my jokes .

Nat 19 October 2008 11:16 AM

Never.

Love is for the weak.

That goes for family too.

There's only one girl I've ever loved. But that went tit's up. So now... well doesn't matter.

As for what I feel about anyone now, well... I'm yet to make my mind up :p There are girls who hate it if I don't pay them attention, but the, jst don't do it for me:rolleyes:

That's what I'm talking about. This thread wasn't intended as a joke. :)

You can never say never: but I doubt I'll ever put the same effort into a relationship as I did when I was 19.

STi-Frenchie 19 October 2008 11:48 AM

Been/am in love? Once - right now.

Thought I was? 4 or 5 but none of them come anywhere close.

Yes i am because i'm never moaning about women or family or letting emotional nonsense get in the way of having a good time like lesser willed people do ;)

oldsplice 19 October 2008 12:08 PM

Two-and-a-half times. The half was when I was 17-20 then I met someone I really luffed. :D
