Reading on defi after fitting cold air intake

i just got a cold air intake fitted to my my03 wrx turbo and have noticed some strange readings on the defi gauges since then. before the cold air intake my oil temp used to be around 80-95 max driving or idle and water temp used to reach a peak of about 90-100 but after fitting the kit yesterday in traffic i just noticed whislt standing idle in traffic after about 10 mile drive the oil temp stated to go up to 110 to 120 whislt idle and water temp went up to 115 to 120. as i drove off then it all came back to normal. i noted the engine temp was where it notmally was so was definetly not overheating. anyone come across this problem after fitting a cold ait intake, or is it meant to do that after fitting it, really dont have a clue?
thanks

120 at idle sounds extreamly high, my classic ran very hot before i had the oil cooler fitted but didn't go over 100 sat in tarffic
