chrisowe 14 October 2008 08:57 PM

If I was a betting man I would certainly say it would not be honoured, especially if people are ordering up to four at a time I'm sorry to say.;)

Jamo 14 October 2008 09:10 PM

Simon C 14 October 2008 09:40 PM

Ordered 1 as well, at that price if it works, it would be rude not to.

They do actually (where theyve taken your payment and made a contract), irrespective of their terms and conditions. In this case though, they can definately get out of the contract, as you couldnt argue that you thought that this was a correct price. Where it isnt an obvious mistake theyre obliged: where they refund you, as people will soon mention Im sure, they have broken the contract and theyre exposed.

I haven't checked but surely that depends if they are based in the UK. Most of the internet DVD companies operate from Guernsey so may have different rules on honouring incorrect prices.

Bravo2zero_sps 14 October 2008 10:00 PM

Me too but I VERY much doubt anyone will get it at £9.99.

Now thats not covered in 'The Barrack Room Lawyers Bible Volume1'. Youll have to wait until I get Volume2. ;)

Well, we can all stick together and make some noise if we don't get our cheapo dvds!

Me too, as i said i ordered 4 and crimbo is round the corner:lol1:

Wizzbang 14 October 2008 11:18 PM

Its an obvious misprice and there is no way that play will honour any of these pre orders....that said, ive ordered a couple just in case they do.

BTW...as long as no money changes hands then they are free to terminate any order, the contract of sale takes place at the time of actual sale (ie..when the money is handed over). If they take money for the advertised price then they have to honour the sale (National Tyres recently made this very mistake and had to sell sets of £200 motorbike tyres for £60 fitted). As far as the law is concerned, if a company offers for sale an item at an incorrect price they do not have to honour any sale, but once they are aware of the misprice then they must change the advertised price to the correct one within reasonable time, after this time if the price is still incorrect they are obliged to honour the incorrect price (but never will)

STi wanna Subaru 14 October 2008 11:31 PM

These mis-prices are a great way to drive traffic to your site. Cynical me? No! ;)
