Connor_scotland 14 October 2008 07:38 PM

Im in 2 minds about them

At night they look mint but i do see where you coming from

I forgot to add tis not a REAL impreza its a Sport. But i love it none the less. Its really good to drive an the noise off it is awesome. By far the best car i have had:luxhello: Thats me on the ladder now so hopefully get a Turbo one at somepoint

Has STi interior, STI momo gearknob etc etc etc has everything i think....

I couldnt get insurance on a WRx due to my gf been 19.........

Hope you all like

I think it has Borla replica manifolds on it aswell

sti degsy 14 October 2008 08:42 PM

defo get rid of the afterburners think they look a bit tacky/chav!

SC008Y_MAD 14 October 2008 08:55 PM

As said above get rid of the rear 'aftgerburner' tail lights in favor of OEM or STi red clear.

Subaru Paint Codes

23G is the WR1 Ice blue colour

RBGUS 14 October 2008 09:32 PM

Get the sti rear lights on that mate, and you'll have a stunning car:thumb:

M535I 14 October 2008 09:48 PM

hey mate don't worry about it bein a sport i started life in a beigh metro lol we all have to start somwhere and the turbo is reserved for us speed freeks lol.

M444GY 14 October 2008 09:50 PM

ditch the lights mate . i had em on my old car and they were a pain in the ass

Connor_scotland 14 October 2008 10:28 PM

Cheers for the comments

I just sold my Focus to get this. I just got 18s/High lift cams for it aswell. But the Boxer engine has been drawing me in since i was 15 lol now 22 i managed to get a half decent Impreza:luxhello:

So over the moon with it

Had a **** weekend. Went to Birmingham on Saturday to get an Impreza 900mile round trip from Inverness £150 in fuel on my Focus....... Then the guy had lied to me an the clutch was slipping an it was rotten on the rear arches.....

Made my way home an got to Inverness at 9pm then a lad from Boston called to say could he come see my Focus. I said fire on an he left at 11pm an was at mine at 9am lol then it was job done. Connor is on the Focus ladder

Northernmonkey 14 October 2008 10:35 PM

:thumb: Looks nice mate

Meallbhan 16 October 2008 06:49 PM

Will keep an eye (or maybe two) open for ya. Not many ice blue classics about so you shouldn't be hard to spot!

Connor_scotland 16 October 2008 07:24 PM

Cheers mate

Trying to get some paint made up for it (WR1 Blue) as it has a small scuff on the front bumper

Also on the look out for some STI rear lights :-)
New grill

Im so impressed with the paint job its really fresh as has nearly No swirls in it :-)

Still not got a proper chance to clean, oil change it etc as im so tired with work an last weekend.

Tomorrow night she is getting the full treatment. My gf has even agreed to help lol she loves the car

Connor_scotland 18 October 2008 09:42 PM

Well there is a lad breaking an Impreza on ebay thats 10 miles away so meeting him during the weeke to get a front splitter/rear lights

I gave her a full service today and got a new thermostat for her
Rewired up the sound system in it
Removed the stickers an gave it a good clean/clay then polish
The speedlines came up very well

Midnight Runner 19 October 2008 12:42 PM

As sport is still a "real impreza"! Looks nice in that colour but but as said I would put STi lights on it in way of the afterburners. :thumb:

Connor_scotland 26 October 2008 01:20 PM

Ordered a abs JUN front splitter an some paint for it so will get it fitted for the Highland Run on Sunday :-)

Gave her a good wash aswell.

Before - I was testing the 4wd up at the farm :-)

http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y10...8/DSCF1401.jpg

Bear in mind i am getting the standard grill as the previous owner wanted to "debadge" it lol

euan_r 26 October 2008 01:52 PM

just wonder if your needing a bumper support bar mate. notice how theres kind of a droop between bumper and grill. very very common but i kind of notice it after replacing my own.

dont mind the afterburners, wouldnt class them as chav unlike lexus style.

Connor_scotland 26 October 2008 01:57 PM

It looks like the grill has "changed shape" as the bumper is on solid.

I thought this when i was taking the photos the grill has a slight bend in it..

Getting a standard one so :-)

Connor_scotland 29 October 2008 08:31 AM

The front splitter arrived yesterday - Rubber JUN one.

The paint should come for the car today an im off work friday so going to prime it Thursday an paint an fit it Friday/Saturday

Connor_scotland 31 October 2008 10:10 PM

Right today seen some progress

Cleaned all the calipers an painted them, fitted the splitter, sound deadned the rear, rewired the subs LOL they still dont work

Im going to take the Subaru sunstrip off tomorrow, An burn the 6x9s

GlesgaKiss 31 October 2008 10:14 PM

That looks cracking now, keep up the good work. :thumb:

I had to rewire my two front speakers. One had a loose wire, and the other one had about a foot of wire missing when I took the door card off. lol! Went out the other night and one stopped working again...can't have done a very good job - will need to investigate tomorrow!

Connor_scotland 31 October 2008 10:40 PM

Thanks very much. Was at it last night then went over to the farm at 9.30am - Me an the gf took the day off work. She was my apprentice haha

In between we were ****ing about on our buggy - This is a pic when the wheel came off on me - I thought it was going to dig in a roll but i was safe lol 250cc suzuki engine, rear wheel drive, discs all round - Brillaint crack as there is a quarry on the farm an miles an miles of fields

Its an old pic this happend in the summer lol

GlesgaKiss 31 October 2008 10:47 PM

I grew up on a farm as well. My grandad sold it and retired when I was born, but gave a cottage each to my Mum and Aunt, so I've lived here all my life. The farm has now been turned into new houses, and the land rented out...but still plenty of fields to use for toys like bikes etc. I've thought about buying a quick buggy before. Love the rage buggies, they look a handfull! :D

Dedrater 31 October 2008 10:50 PM

That looks absolute great fun! Nice motor as well Connor, bet it was a pain in the arse painting them calipers still attached to the hub though

Its mental mate with no front mud guards makes for a messy time.

Yea im unsure why i did that - Took the calipers off to clean them up - Fitted them then thought "bugger it i will paint them" haha lazy i know. When i change the discs an pads i will re do them

Cheers for the comment tho

Tom87 01 November 2008 05:06 PM

Looks really nice that mate. You've smartened it up plenty already! As said get some standard/STI rear lights and it'll look lovely. You still getting a standard grille too?

What have you used to sound deaden the boot? I'm after doing it.

Connor_scotland 01 November 2008 09:54 PM

Thanks mate

Yep got the grill coming in the post. And i need to wire the lights up

Are imprezas common for leaking boots if so where from as mine is dam at the passenger rear light on the floor

Noticed today the front splitter seems to be 1 shade out in colour..... Paints4u made up the paint. I phoned the previous owner an the car is 100% 23G WR1 ICE BLUE. Wierd.

Connor_scotland 02 November 2008 01:46 AM
