Best way to spend 1000-1200 on my uk turbo??

as title says...

You've answered your own question in your ID,

"At the bank looking to see if i have saved enough for a remap!"

That will be about £500-600

Spend the change on suspension mods.

remap is a must if you got 1k lying around, use the rest for a really good paint correction/valet

In reply to the main thread what spec is your car and what do you already have??

AndyC_772 13 October 2008 08:06 PM

Fill it with petrol? :(

M444GY 13 October 2008 08:11 PM

brakes , re map , turbo , the list is endless mate

subaruturbo_18 13 October 2008 10:36 PM

Well yeah i knew there are lots of options, but what are the best things to do for that sort of money. i am standard at teh mo with a scooby ninja exhaust system, decat, and panel air filter. So perhaps uprate the fuel pump along with remap and perhaps a new turbo if i can get one cheap enough?

bmfcrash 13 October 2008 10:58 PM

Get some 4 pots on the front before you go about making it faster. Often overlooked untill its to late.

Better to stop using the brakes rather than the bumper !!.

and yeah the sites real, i Know a lorry driver that went there for a week for a stag do, he says it was the best experience ever, lol. So when im finally (If!) planning to get married im definitely going there.

Plus its not just cheap women there, there's alot of guy stuff to do which specialise in stag do's, shooting, paintballing, go karting etc cheap women, cheap women, cheap women :)

no it doesn't believe me i have a MY99!!!

The best thing u can do is new turbo VF23 VF35 TD05?
your injectors will be good for 340bhp ish so there ok
Then a remap
and a few quid for a new clutch

bioforger 15 October 2008 07:59 PM

er yes they do! Well my last my99 did.

Anyway standard 4pots aren't enough really, u need brembos or 6pots ideally.

if you go with this set up you might as well buy a 3 port and look at the VF34 over the 35

Peanuts 15 October 2008 09:06 PM

2nd user alcon brakes £450
td05 f/e £120
walbro pump £50
remap on ecutek £500 with a haggle

use the change from 1200 to buy a new pair of undercrackers

I stand corrected. I am wrong I am sorry :P
My car had Alcon calipers fitted as an optional extra.
They are also 4 pots why would you upgrade 4 pots with another type of 4 pots?? Other than them being better than standard?

Peanuts 16 October 2008 02:46 PM

bigger discs?
Better calipers?
Better materials for durability?
do I need to go on?

No.

New_scooby_04 16 October 2008 04:44 PM

Suspension, yours will be getting tired by now and a good set up really brings the car to life. Then you can up the power.

Ns04

Peanuts 16 October 2008 05:34 PM

new apex coilovers
new apex 8 pot front brakes
Driver training day with SIDC.

maybe a snatch over £1200 but that will make a great package
