4 X Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 Tyres for sale

2 Attachment(s)
I've 4 x Brand new Goodyear eagle F1 GSD3, 225/45ZR17 tyres for sale. These are brand new as can be seen from the pic's and never been fitted.

I bought them to put on my standard 17's but got some 18" Speedlines instead ScoobyNet. :norty:

Needless to say that these are no longer required by me as I have sold my 17's. They cost £370 delivered. Due to size I cannot deliver them so collection cost taken into account, please pm me any "sensible" offer. Collection from Sheffield! :thumb:

SOLD!!! :luxhello:

Had a post in the tyre section about this the day. Want to know what difference wider tyres will make to the car. Lots of views but no one knows.

If you do and these are still for sale let me know!

cheers,

5t.

Not sure really fella. :wonder:

I swapped my rims to 18's running the same width tyres as on the 17's.

Only thing I could guess at is that fitting wider tyres would increase the chance of them rubbing when full lock is on the steering but I aint no expert! :freak3:

You should fit the correct width tyres for the width of rims that will give the optimum performance in terms of how the sidewall and rim inter-react i.e
7J = 215, 7.5J = 225 and 8J = 235
I went through this myself when I wanted to put a 225 width tyre on a 7J rim on my sprint car but was advised against it by those who know :thumb:

Put 235 on my standard 17" rims and they are fine no scrubbing and little chance of my missus kerbing the alloys!!!

Your standard rims as fitted on the hawkeye STI are 8J so 235 is the correct tyre size, thats why you havent had any problems :lol1:

PantsUK 15 October 2008 11:16 AM

:O)

Are you sure they came with 215(or was it 225) re70s on them? def not 235s anyway!

johnmac 15 October 2008 01:06 PM

Mine came with 225 Potenza's as standard!:thumb:

PantsUK 15 October 2008 02:04 PM

EDIT

mine came with 225 I've put 235s on there with no problems :D

banny sti 15 October 2008 02:21 PM

The UK model sti's came with 225 tyres, where as the JDM sti's were fitted with the 235 tyres.

Did you sell the tyres mate?

Live in Sheffield so pick-up no problemo

Arch 15 October 2008 04:41 PM

I didnt say what they came with only that 235's are fine on an 8J rim :norty:

johnmac 15 October 2008 08:53 PM

Wouldn't a wider tyre affect the strength of the side wall? :wonder:
