Jza,

Had quick look throught my Subaru Assist and it sounds more like an insurance policy against breakdown than anything else.

It doesn't mention anything about non-Warranty upgrades in the exclusions sections but....

...if you drive the car through a Nuclear Reactor, a War Zone, parallel park behind a jumbo jet that is about to take off, compete in the NetworkQ rally, kill yourself at 71mph on the Queen's highway, breakdown while using the car in a getaway...

then you will probably be on your own.

Remembering back a while there was a thread regarding batteries discharging in MY01 in a week, and I think Dave TS used Subaru Assist to get his slightly modded :D car to the dealer.

It turned out o be the plugs, heavily coated in a red power (octane booster could have been the cause), the heat sensor in the Up pipe knacked - replaced and the Air flow meter replaced.

Runs like a dream again. Don't think I will be using octane booster again though.

stalled on them, driving along with engine check light, it suddenly stops, no power when you go to press the gas pedal.

Has this or similar thing happened to anyone else?
