I've just had a very strange encounter...

...with the delivery guy from my local take-away.

I received a text message from him saying 'Hi, my name is abbey, I've just delivered your food. Just want to tell you that you've got a gorgeous smile'.

What's strange is that I had the number stored in my phone under '??' because I got some random text messages a few months ago from someone saying he wanted to lick me up and down'. I wasn't sure who it was - I put it down to being a wind up from one of my mates.

It turns out it was him!!

Surely this is illegal?

:D

Semper 06 October 2008 06:22 PM

He is called Abbey? That's the first question I'd be asking!

And, do you have a gorgeous smile?

But yeah, probably quite naughty/illegal. Might be worth discussing with the takeaway owner?

Dan Gleebits 06 October 2008 06:22 PM

Seriously , though. I would call his employer and stick an official complaint in.

HankScorpio 06 October 2008 06:22 PM

Don't eat the food, he's interfered with it.

Guv 06 October 2008 06:25 PM

:nono: :nono: :nono:

Not good, have a quiet word with the owner.

Oh, dooooooonnnn't! The mind boggles! :freak3:

ScoobyWon't 06 October 2008 06:28 PM

Sorry. Had to do it :D ;) :p

HankScorpio 06 October 2008 06:29 PM

If he's sent dodgy messages before and knew he was going back to see you, he's interfered with your food.

He's abused his job and your trust, you think he hasn't abused your pizza...?

Jer 06 October 2008 06:34 PM

Did you ask for "special sauce"?

Dan Gleebits 06 October 2008 06:37 PM

"easy on the Mayo ..."

At least you know who he is. I'd just see what happens. If he starts getting "odd", then report him. :)

What about "weird" emails. I've had a couple of corkers recently. :wonder:

Could be an easy line in free pizza for a while ...!

Nat 06 October 2008 07:07 PM

Is it a phone that the delivery folk share....or is he really called Abbey? Was it a he or she that delivered your food?

skoobidude 06 October 2008 07:13 PM

A homo from work sent me a suggestive text asking if I was into "men" or "guys"? :wonder:

I'd be having more than a quiet word, the cheeky filthy b@stard !!

TopBanana 06 October 2008 07:20 PM

FFS don't tell his boss, he's just trying to chat you up and he happens to be very inept at it. Tell him you're not interested, and if he does it again think about complaining.

RyanSTI 06 October 2008 07:21 PM

arn't you just a little curious?

dpb 06 October 2008 07:23 PM

Trust you *were* wearing something more or less appropriate when you opened the door ..:Suspiciou

:lol1: That reminds me of yesterday's shift.

We've got a new lad started. He looks about 16 or 17, very quiet, just got his head down and cracked on with his job. One of the chef's, Danny, went straight over and introduced himself and shook his hand. We then didn't really hear another sound from the boy's mouth.

Until, that is, Danny finished his shift.

As soon as Danny was out of the door we were telling the boy to watch out as the person he's replacing quit as Danny was trying to chat him up and to watch out if Danny offers him sweets or asks him to go round to play Xbox on his days off.

As soon as my shift was over, I sent in another member of staff to carry on the wind-up as I waited on the other side of the door to listen.

Ben wandered over to the boy, asked him how the shift was going, if he was enjoying it and then started saying "Have you met Danny yet? You need to watch him, he likes young boys..." Apparently the boy was wearing a look of terror at this point.

I should probably point out that Danny is straight :lol1:

Such as a smile... Oh hang on, that's how it all started :p

PaulC72 06 October 2008 07:34 PM

just speak to him when you next see him or reply that your not interested {delete as appropriate}

He may have done something to your food but it won't harm you ;)
