My RA after 9 months!

Hi, just finished of a few bits on the RA,and given it a good clean with the new werkstat acrylic set i got a couple days ago. And hear are the results!
Be honest, and let me know what i should do next:thumb: ,apart from a face lift bumper!

Very nice, although I would lose the side skirts if it were mine, :)

mit 04 October 2008 04:33 PM

Day is well bangin innit! No,there big ugly lumps, one of the things i will eventually change!

M535I 04 October 2008 07:31 PM

i would'nt face lift it mate leave as it is maybe a lip but not a p1 ! , i would put a spoiler on as they look a little bair imop looks a clean one though ! . what you looking for rally type ? or std ?

chocolate_o_brian 04 October 2008 08:36 PM

Right, get rid of the skirts and rear spats.

Then.... leave it, because that is absolute Subaru perfection. No faffing about, no add ons, nothing, it would look stunning left as it, just lose the skirts and spats. Ok maybe mud flaps, but thats it, goddit!:lol1:

So general concensous is to loose the skirts.Trouble is it's a bit of a job as the RA doesn't have the mounting holes,so their sikaflexed on! Once off,it ain't easy to refit them!
I have in my garage a smoothed facelift rear bumper, which i intend to get sprayed,so it would be easier to do without the spats.
Have to have a good think!

That looks amazing.............

I agree with loosin the skirts,RA's did'nt come with them so should'nt have them imo.Doe'snt need much more doing to it...with a RA less is definatly more.

really nice looking car. rear spats should go.

spoiler on it to.

very clean

I'm gonna throw in the idea of a little black at the back. Love the way the black has made the front look aggressive so maybe something similar at the back, like an under body diffuser or something with the bootlid. A little crazy maybe :lol1:

Thanks again for the coments!
I took this pic the other day,a better side shot.

RS_Matt 27 October 2008 09:12 PM

rooferman 27 October 2008 09:28 PM

With regards to the skirts leaving damage after removal.......speak to Ralph at Milsport as i know he has supplied a set of full lenght carbon cill covers.

hixxys STI 27 October 2008 09:50 PM

what a mint example and also where did you get the red inlet from im desprate to get 1 as mine is all flaked and ruff

awsome car tho :thumb:
chers matt

mit 27 October 2008 10:36 PM

The inlet is the old one with a few coats of wrinkle vht paint. I had the inlet off for the parallel rail mod, inlet insutators etc,so seemed a good idea to give it a paint. People say it's purely cosmetic, but im sure it's faster now!!:lol1:
This is the stuff i used Black Wrinkle Finish (310ml) (P110) - Painting - Frost Auto Restoration Techniques
Be carefull when using it,it's very sticky stuff, and gets everywhere!! Must be used in a very well ventilated area.It also takes a good 2-3 days to dry.
