I have just read a thread that mentions this noise and links it to a 'big end' problem......
Can anyone throw any light on this? Cheers Paul |
I tell you, every single noise my car develops makes me nervous...... I rekon I have read one too many scare stories in this forum!

The only "Helicopter" noise you`ll hear is from the old Bill chopper as it checks out your speed down the M1 on the way home from work!! http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/aircraft/lynxaac2.gif Get someone who really knows the sound of Scoobs to have a listen before you go nuts. http://www.stopstart.fsnet.co.uk/mica/face.gif Cheers - JohnD |
Paul,
As far as I know the helli sound is usually piston slap, not bearings. http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alan.leslie/ The above link is to a sound file of piston slap which was provided by AJ leslie, a member of this bbs. Cheers, Wrexy. [Edited by WREXY - 2/11/2002 1:17:36 PM] |
