Well, after all the stories in the media regarding the theft of high performance cars in the north west last night it was my turn to be on the receiving end of the sticky fingered tw@ts who call themselves "professional" car thieves. [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

They managed to use the old nick the door keys through the letterbox routine thanks to my dad forgetting to hide them like he normally does :rolleyes: Thankfully they were scared off empty handed when the house burglar alarm sounded so my scooby and my dad's A6 were untouched. Now we have to change all the locks in the house cos the police have warned that they will return in the next few days with the door keys.

Credit where it is due to the police - they turned up within 20mins of us ringing them and said they are stepping up patrols in this area.

So if you live in the north west, especially the Manchester area, and own a Scooby, Evo , Audi, BMW or Mercedes be on your guard. The police reckon there are 6 "professional" gangs now operating in the area after these motors. Don't be caught out like we were due to a lapse in concentration.
