What's it worth?

Afternoon people!

Looking to buy a new car (undecided on what I want yet) but just wondered what our local car sale type places will be offering for a part chop.

My Car:
Impreza WRX 2001 (Y)
Mica Green
67K
Minimal cosmetic mods, such as new head unit and forester pocket with 10 disc autochanger. Momo gear knob and surround that type of thing.
Think I’ll remove the Prodrive driving lights and sell those separately.
Standard unmolested engine with full service history, but not had the cambelt changed (which I believe need doing about 70K?)

Any guide on price?

Thanks in advance!

Charlie :)

No mate it's been done once at 45k ish, just (I think) needs doing second time round :thumb:

Christ, I'd have been brave to last this long on the original :D

Thats ok then, next one at 90k I would have thought. Ill check.

Thanks for that mate! But AFAIK it's not just the miles, it's how many years old the belt is that can influence the change. Can anyone confirm for sure?

If it is 90 - 100K, that's better than I though. However, I'm sure the overall price of the car won't exceed my expectations  :wonder:

Tis indeed true. 10k a year means a cambelt every 5 years, so your second should be at 10 years, or 9 1/2 if yours was done at 45k.(or 100k if that comes first.

So anybody want to hazzard a guess at the price?

In todays market i would say around 4500 but getting a buyer will be tricky as the market is dead.
Nik.

Depends on what you are changing upto. Think about the cost to change as oposed to the value of your p ex. You may find you get offered a low p ex but a huge discount on your new car, alternatively a great p ex and no discount. Just concentrate on the figure to trade up

Cheer all!

All good advice :)

I'd guess £3750
