I would certainly like to try one. One of the guys has one on the MLT register, says its a beaut.

£10,000 for the conversion over a standard Evo VI though?

Would sir like his side-order of bottom-ends at the same time? I hear they go *bang* like popcorn!

CraigH 20 January 2001 10:03 PM

thought it was more than that - guy on Ralliart stand said the new one was £51k http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

Wonder if our friends in Uxbridge do the conversion http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/eek.gif

51k Sounds about right, 40k for an Extreme which it is based on and 10k for the conversion.

Hello.

Thought it was namned after the torque and not the power http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

The version i have seen is the rs, 25k plus the 10k package to make it 450bhp (and some rediculous torque! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif ) not bad for 35k, beats most supercars http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Tony

PS, how much do cossie owners pay for there conversions?????!!!

Kevin Atkins 21 January 2001 09:46 AM

Just for the record, the RS 450 is NOT 450bhp it's been tested at 360. For 10k I would want (and will have) a lot more than that.

Yes, you are right I goofed http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
There is a guy on the MLR forum who converted his Extreme to an RS450. I dont know if that is the actual process or just the way he did his.

Cem

TonyBurns 22 January 2001 12:23 AM

I always thought that the 450 was 450bhp, i know the extreme is 340bhp so why pay 10k extra for 20bhp????? Ralliart say the engine can take 2+bar but dont run it that high....
Ralliart still have a few for sale http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif and i also found out that they hire cars out too!!! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif but have you seen how much for??? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif

The one at the Autosport show did look nie with all it's carbon bits etc.

Had a sort of

"Get outta my way you slow piece of 5hit"

attitude http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Ralliart will convert any VI (RS, GSR or Extreme). They change all major internals and modify the turbo. As this invalidates the warrenty they will also convert an import. 450bhp is optimistic, but +350(safe)bhp is still more than th £40k 22B's 276bhp. The only thing is gearboxes and clutches are extra. Also no known big bangs.
