last night around 7ish, you were heading london bound near the mecca bingo in Dagenham.


although i didnt think it was good to tow a 4 wheel drive car?

Its ok for a short distance at low speeds. personally i wouldnt tho just incase.

It's ok to tow them of all four wheels are on the floor, the problem is when the front wheels are lifted and the rears are still on the road.

ah differnce of opinions here. lol I have been told by more than 1 person that it is not good to be towed with all 4 wheels on the floor in a 4 wheel drive car.

I'd be interested in the reasoning behind it then..........to be educated.

I know the reasoning behind not towing with only two wheels lifted - the centre diff gets "wound up" - same reason Jeep Cherokees sometimes eat the centre diff if you don't change all four tyres at the same time :)

i was thinking the same. if being towed in with all for on the floor, surely that's the same as when driving :wonder: can understand if only being towed on 2. same thing with rwd. not good for them to be towed if have a lsd.
