Hope none has already propose this topic ! If so,sorry.
I don't know why but when my scooby's tyres alignment goes off i fell it very soon not in straight road but... facing the corners: it's no more sharp as before.
Regarding this how often do you check alignment on yours?
I wonder if it's a problem on mine as i've never jumped on the pavements or stuff like that and i'm very careful with holes and manholes.

Depends entirely on preference. Some people would tell you after each tyre change, so the tyres don't wear to fast.

What I do is monitor my 4 tyres regualarly and make adjustments to the camber or toe acordingly. The only problem with this is once a tyre has started wearing in one place it will continue to wear there faster than other parts.

Is it often in your case?

Cico,

I get mine checked/reset about every 2 months. But the roads I travel on are not the best in the world and there are a few speed bumps near my house.

You should see our roads in New Zealand where I live/Drive

Don't worry here in Genova they are not so good as well...
anyway what do you feel on your steering wheel when the alignment is out? do you have feeling problems facing corners?

Believe me you don't know about Greek roads!
Every pothole has his history...

I totally agree with you. The greek roads are unacceptable.

I propose to check your alignment regularly (every 3-4 months)
because, from my expierence, a wrong alignment can cause you a lot of problems.(poor cornering, braking etc.)

MichelleWRX1994 15 February 2002 05:39 PM

Yep, get it checked regualrly, every two to three months, especially if youhave bumpy roads.

With the GAB suspension I have on, because there is very little play init, I tend to get it re-checked *at a friendly place near me - very discounted *cough* free ;)* very regularly, its amazing how little knocks in the road - and I don't mean kerbing it :p can take their toll on alignment and such.

Cheers,

Michelle.

You're right! I do check it every 4/5 month.
I have to say it's quite a problem also because if do not check it regularly you ' ll have a quick wearing too.
I wonder if is there a way to have the alignment better and stronger built for the future's cars

No, not for normal driving.

But I do change it now and again when I go racing. Max toe front 1-2 deg rear.
